What is eLearning?
PADI's onling eLearning system allows you to complete the knowledge development portion of your course online and at your own pave. This convenient, interactive study option allows you to learn anytime and anywhere you have an internet connection.
PADI eLearning lets you:
- Learn by watching, listening, reading and interacting with a dynamic instructional program.
- Access the material for one year, plus gain unlimited access to an online version of the course manual.
- Contact Aquatic Adventures anytime you have a question about what you’re learning.
- Get in the water quickly – applying what you’ve learned – when you meet with your PADI Instructor.
Included in Courses
The cost of the eLearning Program is included in the cost of most of our courses. Once you've completed the sign up for the course we will email you the code for the eLearning Program.
How do I sign up for eLearning?
If you are planning to take one of our courses than the code for the eLearning program will be emailed to you once you have completed the signing up for the course. Course signups can completed online, over the phone, or over the phone. However if you just need the code to complete the online portion of a course please click here or follow the link to the right. You will be able to select your desired course from the drop down menu.
How does eLearning work?
After enrolling, PADI's eLearning system presents you with interactive presentations that include videos, audio, graphics and reading. Short quizzes let you gauge your progress, and review and correct anything you might happen to miss. This lets you move through the program efficiently and at your own pace.
How long do you have to complete the eLearning course?
The eLearning course will be available for one year from the time of course registration. Though you must finish the online portion of the course within that time frame, you will have perpetual access to an online version of the PADI Open Water Diver manual.
What is the minimum amount of time it will take to complete this eLearning program?
The PADI Open Water Diver Course online will take approximately 12-15 hours to complete. It must be completed before beginning of the in-water portions of your course.
How do you document that you've completed the eLearning segment?
Once you finish the eLearning portion of the course, Aquatic Adventures is notified that you have completed it and that you are ready for the practical phase of the program. At the end of the eLearning program, you can print out your eRecord and bring a copy of it with you to Aquatic Adventures or to the PADI Dive Center or Resort where you plan to complete the course.
Emergency First Response training focuses on building confidence in lay rescuers and increasing their willingness to respond when faced with a medical emergency. Course participants learn simple to follow steps for emergency care and practice applying skills in a nonstressful learning environment. All courses are supported by self-study materials and videos to enhance learning and allow you start learning right away.
What will you learn?
- BLS (Basic Life Support) CPR and rescue breathing at the layperson level
- AED (automated external defibrillator) use
- Preventing and caring for shock
- Spinal injury management
- Use of barriers to reduce disease transmission risk
- Basic first aid and first aid kit considerations
In addition to the Primary and Secondary Care Course, we offer EFR Care for Children and other emergency training programs. EFR courses meet the CPR and first aid training requirements for the PADI Rescue Diver course and all professional-level ratings.
